Fixing install problems
“App not installed” or “package conflicts with an existing package”
A copy of the app is already on the device but was signed differently — usually one from another website, or an old test version. Android won't install over it.
Fix: Settings → Apps → find the app → Uninstall, then install again. On TVs and phones with more than one user or profile, check each profile — the old copy may still be installed in another one.
Uninstalling clears the app's data, so you may need to sign in or restore your subscription again.
“There was a problem parsing the package”
Either the download didn't finish, or the phone's Android is older than the app needs.
Fix: delete the file and download it again on a steady connection. If it still fails, compare your Android version (Settings → About phone) with Requires on the app's page.
The Install button is greyed out or does nothing
Something is drawing over the screen — a blue-light or screen filter, chat bubbles (like Messenger's), or a screen recorder. Android blocks taps on Install while one is on.
Fix: turn it off for a moment, install, then turn it back on.
“Not enough storage” or it fails half-way
Installing needs about twice the app's size in free space. Delete some photos, videos or old downloads (the Files app shows what's big), then try again.
The download keeps stopping
On a weak connection, try Wi-Fi or wait for a stronger signal. Chrome and Downloader carry on where they stopped if you retry — you don't lose what already downloaded.
“Blocked by Play Protect” / “Unsafe app”
Play Protect warns about apps it hasn't seen from the Play Store. If you downloaded from yourvjapp.com, tap More details → Install anyway. If it offers to scan the app, let it — that's the safest choice.
I can't find the app after installing
Phone: swipe up for the app drawer, or search for it. TV: it's under Apps on the home screen, or Settings → Apps. Phone apps don't appear on a TV's home screen and TV apps don't show an icon on phones — get the right one for your device.
How do I update?
Download again from the app's page and install over the old one. Settings and sign-ins are kept. If you see “App not installed”, see the first answer above.
Is it safe?
Your VJ apps are only ever published on yourvjapp.com, always signed with the same key. Don't install copies from other websites. Each app's page has a Verify this download section with the file's fingerprint, for anyone who wants to check.
